Hughes, Dunn take third in double at national meet

FORT MYERS, Fla. --- Colby College women's tennis players Sara Hughes and Allison Dunn finished in third place in doubles at the ITA National Small College Championships on Friday.

Hughes and Dunn lost in a semifinal match and then won the consolation match for third place with a 6-4, 5-7, (10-3) victory over Christy Austin and Megan Suarez of Trinity (Texas).

The Colby pair opened the tourney with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripp's Jeannine Liang and Lauren Drew. Hughes and Dunn then fell 6-0, 6-0 to evenutal champions Liz Bondi and Elizabeth Steel of DePauw.
