St. Olaf pulls away for win over Colby in baseball
FORT MYERS, Fla. --- After falling behind 2-1 in the top of the fourth inning, St. Olaf College scored two runs in the bottom of the inning and added eight more runs over the next three innings in taking an 11-4 win over Colby College in baseball Wednesday in Florida.
Colby (3-3) gave up a lone run in the first inning and then took its only lead of the game with two runs in the top of the fourth.
St. Olaf (7-3) had 18 hits in the game.
Nick Spillane and Roddy Ames each had two hits for the Mules, who play Fredonia State in a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m. Thursday. Spillane, Craig Cooper and Andy Carr all had an RBI in a losing cause.
