Bowdoin takes two games from Colby in baseball
BRUNSWICK, Maine --- The Colby College baseball team fell 12-1 and 8-3 in a doubleheader with Bowdoin College on Saturday.
The Polar Bears swept three games from the Mules in moving to 17-5 overall and 7-2 in the NESCAC East. Colby fell to 6-11 overall and 1-5 in the league.
Nick Spillane had two hits to lead Colby in the opener. Tyler Hales went 1-for-1, Jon Vacca had one hit and one run scored and Andy Carr finished with a hit and an RBI.
In the second game, Hales went 2-for-4 and had two RBI to pace the Mules. Kyle McKay had a hit and two RBI, while Tom Salemy and Carr both had one hit and one run.
