Colby runners Prisby, Minty earn All-Conference honors

WATERVILLE, Maine ---- Karen Prisby (Agawam, Mass.) and Jess Minty (Concord, Mass) each earned New England Small College Athletic Conference Cross Country All-Conference honors Tuesday.

Prisby and Minty were on the first team after finishing in the top seven at the NESCAC Cross Country Championships this past Saturday at Wesleyan University.

Prisby finished in fourth place with a time of 18 minutes, 13.5 seconds. She recently won the State of Maine women's title.

Minty took sixth place in 18:23.0 at the league meet. She won the women's title earlier this year at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Invitational.

Prisby and Minty helped Colby take third place at the NESCAC meet. The Mules were ranked sixth in Division III in last week's national poll and finished fifth at the NCAA Division III meet a year ago.

Colby will compete at the ECAC Championships this Saturday at Tufts University.
