Colby field hockey takes win over Husson, 3-0

BANGOR, Maine --- Mary Clare Snediker (Stowe, Vt.) and Chelsea Rosenheimer (Nashotah, Wisc.) each scored their first collegiate goals to lift the Colby College field hockey team to a 3-0 win against Husson College on Thursday night in non-conference play.

Snediker scored the eventual game-winning goal in the first half. Jessica Egan (Medfield, Mass.) tallied off an assist from Emily Lawrence (Denver, Colo.) with two minutes remaining in the opening half for a 2-0 lead at intermission.

Rosenheimer tallied unassisted with about four minutes left in the game.

Molly Rice (South Portland, Maine) stopped four shots for the Colby shutout.

Colby (1-2) plays host to Trinity College at 11 a.m. Saturday in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game at Bill Alfond Field.
