Men's hockey player Kelley on New England team
WATERVILLE, Maine ---- Colby College sophomore forward T.J. Kelley (Ridgefield, Conn.) was named to the 2006 New England Hockey Writers ECAC East All-Star team.
Kelley led the NESCAC for much of the season in scoring and finished second in points per game (1.60) and tied for second in total points (40) with his 16 goals and 24 assists. Kelley also ranked third in assists per game (0.96) and tied for sixth in power play goals (7).
Kelley has 22 goals and 29 assists for 51 career points in two years with the Mules. He was one of 15 semifinalists this year for the Joe Concannon Award, given annually to New England's best American-born Division II/III college hockey player.
Kelley was one of 12 players selected to the team that will be honored at the annual New England Hockey Writers Banquet on April 13 at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus, Mass.
Colby finished with a 15-9-1 record despite being heavily hit by graduation losses. The Mules finished in a tie for third place in the league standings with Bowdoin.
