Colby men's basketball beats local rival Thomas

WATERVILLE, Maine ---- Drew Cohen (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) had 19 points, 16 rebounds and eight blocked shots to help the Colby College men's basketball team take a 76-65 win over local rival Thomas College in non-conference play Wednesday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

Colby sharpshooter Mark Gaudet (Bingham, Maine) was 5-for-10 from 3-point range and had 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Nick Farrell (Aspen, Colo.) added 11 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Mackenzie Simpson (Casco, Maine) finished with 10 points and Jon Bandi (Winchester, Mass.) had eight points for the Mules (5-6).

Thomas (1-7) got 21 points and six rebounds from Aecio Madeira and 20 points and seven boards from Chad Gray. James Godley finished with 13 points and Eric Lopez Jr. had eight points.
