Colby men's basketball rips Maine Maritime

CASTINE, Maine --- Nick Farrell had 23 points, seven assists and four steals to power the Colby College men's basketball team to a 77-52 non-conference victory over Maine Maritime Academy on Monday night.

Farrell shot 9-for-14 from the field and hit four of his seven 3-point attempts. Drew Cohen was also 9-for-14 from the field and finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Mark Gaudet was 3-for-4 from 3-point range and had 14 points and four steals, while Preston Decker added six points and seven rebounds.

Colby (6-7) led 32-18 at halftime and then exploded for 45 points in the second half on 61 percent shooting (17-for-28).

Neil Stewart led Maine Maritime (3-6) with 10 points and seven rebounds.
