Colby men's basketball easily beats UMPI

WATERVILLE, Maine ---- Andrew Jenkins (Gorham, Maine) had 16 points, six rebounds and five assists to pace the Colby College men's basketball team to an easy 100-47 non-conference men's basketball win over University of Maine at Presque Isle on Sunday at Wadsworth Gymnasium.

The Mules (2-2) scored the first 11 points of the game and led 52-25 at halftime.

Drew Cohen (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) added 12 points, seven rebounds and six blocked shots for the Mules. Cohen has 18 blocked shots in four games. Nate Dick (North Attleboro, Mass.) had 14 points, while Nick Farrell (Aspen, Colo.) finished with nine points and seven assists. Farrell is averaging seven assists per game in the opening four games.

All 14 of Colby's players had points in the game. Keven Shers (Portsmouth, R.I.) and Pat Featherston (Murray Hill, N.J.) both had eight points off the bench. Casey Civiello (Bangor, Maine) had seven points, Arthur Cutrone (Garden City, N.Y.) had six points, five rebounds and four assists, and Mark Gaudet (Bingham, Maine) was 2-for-2 from 3-point range for six points.

Brett Miles led UMPI (0-4) with 17 points and three assists.

The Mules will play in the Colby Invitational against Brooklyn College at 7 p.m. Saturday.
