NEW LONDON, Conn.-- Colby College (7-13, 1-5) battled back from a nine-point second half deficit to defeat Connecticut College (11-10, 1-6) 64-60 at Luce Fieldhouse Friday night.
Junior center Drew Cohen (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) netted 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds en route to a double-double for the Mules. Junior guard Nick Farrell (Aspen, Colo.) chipped in with 18 points, shooting 5-for-10 from beyond the arc.
Connecticut College sophomore forward Charles Stone (Hackensack, N.J.) finished with 19 points and eight boards for the hosts, shooting 8-for-12 from the field. Freshman Will Lyons (Wilbraham, Mass.) added nine points for the hosts in the NESCAC contest.
The two teams battled back and forth in the early going and forced four ties in the opening half. Charles Stone put the Camels on top 34-33 with 1:03 remaining, putting back his own shot. With 22 seconds to play Stone canned another field goal and the Camels had a 36-33 lead at the intermission.
Later on in the second half, Billy Karis (Potsdam, N.Y.) buried a three with 8:48 remaining in the game and the Camels enjoyed their largest lead of the night, 49-40.
