Williams defeats Colby in men's hockey
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --- Williams College scored three shorthanded goals and had one power play goal in taking a 5-2 victory over Colby College in men's hockey Saturday.
Williams (6-5-2) scored just 3:14 into the game on a shorthanded goal by Jim Canner to set the tone for the game. Brandon Jackmuff tallied at 14:36 for the Ephs to make it 2-0, but the Mules (10-4) fought back and got a goal by Adam Marino with just 14 seconds left in the first period.
Williams got shorthanded goals from Steve Bruch at 4:36 and Colin Greenhalgh at 6:45 of the second period to take a 4-1 lead.
Patrick Rutherford made it 4-2 when he scored at 11:22 for the Mules. However, the Ephs added an insurance goal from Dennis Kim on the power play at 15:57 of the second period.
