Grandjean, Chrenek lead men's hockey past Wesleyan, 1-0
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. --- Junior goalie Ben Grandjean made 36 saves to earn the shutout and Ryan Chrenek scored the lone goal of the game to give the Colby College men's hockey team a 1-0 victory over Wesleyan University on Friday night.
Grandjean improved to 8-3 overall this year and earned his first shutout of the season. He made 14 saves in the third period.
Chrenek scored at 17:17 of the first period on assists by Josh Reber and Joel Covelli. Chrenek has seven goals this year and two game-winning tallies.
Colby (14-7) is now 14-0-2 all-time against Wesleyan. The Mules play at Trinity College on Saturday at 4 p.m.
