Colby men's soccer falls to Middlebury
MIDDLEBURY, Vt.- Middlebury moved to 6-0 on the season with a 4-0 win over Colby College for their fifth consecutive shutout.
The scoring began just 36 seconds into the game when Brodie
MacDearmid scored his team- leading fourth goal of the season on a cross
from Baer Fisher.
Gabe Wood made it a 2-0 game at 38:38 of the first
half, when he converted a corner kick by Jacob Whitted.
Derek Cece's
penalty kick to the lower right corner put the Panthers up 3-0 at the
64:23 mark of the second half. The final goal of the game came at 72:51
when Vandy Shanholt dribbled down the middle alone and ripped a shot
into the net.
Zack Toth collected his fifth consecutive shutout of the season
for the Panthers, making one save, while Josh Kahane made five stops for
the Mules.
