Colby men's soccer earns road win over UMF
FARMINGTON, Maine – Chris MacFadyen scored with 9:19 left in the game to help the Colby College men’s soccer team to a 2-1 win over University of Maine at Farmington on Tuesday.
Colby improved to 6-6 this season, including 5-0 in non-conference games.
MacFadyen tallied off an assist from Todd Boertzel, who picked up his third assist in nine games.
The Mules went up 1-0 at 17:45 of the first half when Bobby Abendroth scored his third goal of the year off a pass from Monty Hankin.
Despite Colby’s 23-4 advantage in shots, UMF stayed in the game and tied the game at 1-1 at 58:54.
Josh Kahane made one save in goal for Colby, which plays at Connecticut College at 11 a.m. Saturday.
