Colby men's soccer earns win over Husson, 5-2
WATERVILLE, Maine ---- Senior captain Bobby Abendroth (BB&N/Natick, Mass.) had two goals to lift the Colby College men's soccer team to a 5-2 non-conference win over Husson College on Wednesday.
Logan King (Thayer Academy/Braintree, Mass.) scored his first collegiate goal and added an assist for the Mules (1-1). King scored 10:25 into the game to give Colby its first goal on the way to taking a 4-0 halftime lead.
Dan Kiernan (Roxbury Latin/Brookline, Mass.), Abendroth and John McCormack (Lincoln-Sudbury/Sudbury, Mass.) also had opening half goals for Colby. The Mules went up 5-0 when Abendroth added his second goal just 3:56 into the half.
Husson (3-3) got goals from Kyle James (Presque Isle, Maine) and Chris Cacela (Ware, Mass.).
