Colby men's squash finishes 5-2 trip to Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. --- The bottom three position players for the Colby College men's squash team posted a combined 19-2 record to help the Mules go 5-2 this past weekend at Yale University.

Colby, ranked 16th in the country, took wins over 20th-ranked George Washington University (6-3), 21st-ranked Stanford University (7-2), 22nd-ranked Hamilton College (6-3), 23rd-ranked Hobart College (8-1) and 24th-ranked Connecticut College (5-4). The Mules fell to 13th-ranked Navy (6-3) and 19th-ranked Denison (6-3). The Mules lost three 3-2 matches in the tough loss to Navy.

Andy Carr was 7-0 in six matches at the ninth position and one at the eighth spot. Nate Stone was 6-0 at the seventh spot and was 0-1 at the sixth spot, while Brett Willis had a 6-1 record at six matches at the eighth spot and one at seven. Ryan Maher, Todd Basnight and Sam Weeks all had 4-3 records for Colby (8-4).

The Mules are at Bowdoin College for a 6 p.m. match Wednesday.
