Colby women's squash finishes 12th in country
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Emilie Slack took a hard-fought win at the second position for the Colby College women's squash team, but the Mules fell 7-2 to Bowdoin College in the Kurtz Division at the National Squash Team Championships on Sunday at Harvard University.
The Mules finished 12th in the country and Bowdoin was 11th. The Kurtz Division is for teams ranked nine to 16 heading into the national tourney.
Slack took a 3-2 victory over Emilie McKenna by fighting back from a 2-1 games deficit. Slack won 9-3 and 9-6 in the final two games to pull out the match.
Nina Delano had the other win for Colby at the third position with a 3-1 win over Kate Gormley.
