Women's squash defeats Tufts, men fall

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Stacy Petro won at the first position and Emilie Slack moved to 15-2 this season at the second spot as the 18th-ranked Colby College women's squash team took a 6-3 win over 19th-ranked Tufts University on Friday night.

The Mules won the top six position matches, including a 3-2 win for Nina Delano at the third spot. She won 10-8 in the fifth game to move her season record to 14-3. Jessica Vogel, Sophie Newbury and Catherine Monrad also won matches for the Mules (11-6).

In the men's match, Andy Carr was the only winner for 18th-ranked Colby (8-8) in an 8-1 loss to 16th-ranked Tufts.
