Bowdoin squash teams take wins over Mules

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Nina Delano and Catherine Monrad both won for the Colby College women's squash team in a 7-2 loss to Bowdoin College on Wednesday night.

In the men's match, Andy Carr was the lone winner for the Mules in an 8-1 setback to Bowdoin.

Delano won the third position match with a 3-1 victory, while Monrad took a wild 3-2 victory at the sixth position. Monrad trailed two games to one before winning the last two games by 9-1 and 9-2 scores.

Carr also had to battle hard for his 3-1 victory. With the match tied at one game apiece, Carr took 10-8 and 9-5 wins to close out the victory.

Colby will compete at the NESCAC Squash Tournament this weekend at Trinity College. The men will play a qualifying match on Friday night against Middlebury. The Colby and Bowdoin women will meet in a quarterfinal match Saturday at 8 a.m.
