Colby men's tennis wins twice, women take win over Babson

WATERVILLE, Maine ------ The Colby College men's tennis team is off to a 2-0 start to the spring season after taking wins over Babson College and Skidmore College on Saturday and Sunday.

The Colby women also opened the spring season with a 7-2 victory over Babson.

Brody Saunders (Park City, Utah), Zach Schuman (Watchung, N.J.), Ben Crane (Orlando, Fla.) and Tim Fuhriman (Salt Lake City, Utah) all went 2-0 in singles play for Colby, which won 6-1 over Skidmore on Sunday and took a 7-0 win against Babson on Saturday.

Bryan Brown (Bangor, Maine) won one singles match and joined up with Saunders to go 2-0 at doubles. Schuman and Crane also went 2-0 in doubles play.

For the Colby women, Allison Dunn (Tucson, Ariz.), Anna Erdheim (New York, N.Y.), Ginny Raho (Providence, R.I.), Lauren Uhlmann (Mission Hills, Kansas) and Nicole Veilleux (Chocorua, N.H.) all had singles wins.

Dunn and Tracy Nale (Waterville, Maine) won the first doubles match. Raho and Uhlmann teamed up at second doubles for the victory, while Erdheim and Veilleux were winners at third doubles.
