Women's tennis has 1-1 weekend, men drop tough match

WATERVILLE, Maine --- Tracy Nale won at first singles in a 9-0 win over Salve Regina on Sunday and took the second singles match for Colby College in a tough 5-4 loss Saturday against MIT in women's tennis.

Ginny Raho, Anna Erdheim, Nicole Veilleux, Katharine Koleski and Kristin Schmidt won singles matches against Salve Regina. Allison Dunn and Raho joined forces to win at first doubles, Erdheim and Lauren Uhlmann took the second doubles match, and Alex De Sherbinin and Nadege Roux won at third doubles.

In the loss to MIT, Dunn, Nale and Erdheim were singles winners for the Mules. Nale and Dunn got together for a victory at the first doubles spot.

The Colby men also dropped a hard-fought 4-3 match to MIT on Saturday. Zach Schuman and Tim Fuhriman won singles matches for Colby. The Mules got the doubles point for taking wins at the second (Brody Saunders/Bryan Brown) and third (Fuhriman/Alex Chin) spots.
