Colby volleyball stays unbeaten in league play
NEW LONDON, Conn. --- The Colby College volleyball team stayed unbeaten in New England Small College Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 victory over Connecticut College on Friday night.
The Mules, top-ranked in the New England Division III poll, improve to 17-1 overall and 4-0 in league play. Colby is in first place in the league and is the only unbeaten team.
Jenny Lawrence finished with 26 assists and 15 defensive digs from her setter position for Colby. Cait Cleaver had nine kills, 18 digs and three service aces to help the Mules to the 30-26, 30-15, 30-25 victory. Megan Devlin had nine kills and 12 digs, Kaitlin Adams had eight kills and six blocks, Mariah Daly had five kills and four blocks, Kendall Kirby had a team-high 16 digs, and Cassie Sancartier had 14 digs.
Colby plays two more leagues games at Conn College on Saturday. The Mules take on Trinity College at 11 a.m. and then meet Wesleyan University at 1:30 p.m.
