Parent wins 200th match as Mules go 3-1 on weekend
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --- Colby College volleyball coach Candice Parent won her
200th career match as the Mules went 3-1 at the MIT Invitational on Friday
and Saturday.
The Mules took a 3-2 come-from-behind win over Endicott College to give
Parent her 200th win in exciting fashion Friday. Colby (11-1), though, fell
for the first time this season with a 3-0 loss to Smith College after the
match with Endicott.
Parent has a 202-137 record in her 11th year at Colby. The Mules took a
19-30, 30-16, 28-30, 30-16, 15-12 win against Endicott, but then lost
30-22, 30-12, 30-26 to Smith.
On Saturday, the Mules took a 3-1 victory over Muhlenberg by scores of
30-14, 30-18, 21-30, 30-27) and also recorded a 3-1 win against Vassar by
scores of 3-17, 30-27, 22-30, 30-23.
No individual statistical information was available from the matches.
