Bowdoin women's basketball stops Mules
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's basketball team defeated rival Colby 72-40 in NESCAC action on Saturday. The Polar Bears, ranked eighth in the latest national poll, improve to 13-2 (2-1 NESCAC), while Colby falls to 6-9 (0-3).
The Mules were the last team to beat Bowdoin on its home court dating back to the 2001 season.
Katie McCabe led Colby with 10 points and Tracy Nale had nine.
Four Bowdoin players reached double figures, led by a game-high 16 from Jill Anelauskas.
Next up for Colby is a 7 p.m. home game with Maine-Farmington on Tuesday.
