Amherst women's basketball defeats Colby
WATERVILLE, Maine --- After taking its first league win of the season Friday night, the Colby College women's basketball team fell 59-45 to Amherst College in New England Small College Athletic Conference play Saturday.
Katie McCabe finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists for the Mules. McCabe had 59 points in three games this week.
Stefanie Reiff led four Amherst (8-9, 3-2 NESCAC) players in double figures with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Colby (7-11, 1-4) also received 10 points from Kate Emery, Courtney Williams (Norwood, Mass.) had eight, and Alanna Balboni (Rye, N.H.) had seven points and five rebounds.
The Mules will be back in action next Friday against Connecticut College at home at 7 p.m. in a league game.
