Top-ranked Southern Maine women's basketball tops Colby

GORHAM, Maine --- Ashley Marble had 19 points and eight rebounds as the top-ranked University of Southern Maine women's basketball team took a 63-24 win over Colby College in non-conference women's basketball Wednesday.

Marble was 8-for-11 from the field to lead Southern Maine (6-0), ranked number one in the latest USA Today/ESPN Division III national poll. Megan Myles added 12 points and Lauren Samuelson finished with 10 for the Huskies.

Kate Emery led Colby (4-2) with nine points and Regina Wohl added seven points.

The Mules return to action Saturday at home against fourth-ranked Bowdoin College at 5 p.m.
