Colby women's hockey defeats Hamilton, 4-1
WATERVILLE, Maine ---- Nicole Crocker (Dover, Mass.) had a pair of goals
and Genevieve Triganne (Pointe-Claire, Quebec) stopped 26 shots as the
Colby College women's hockey team took a 4-1 win over Hamilton College at
Alfond Rink on Friday.
The Mules (6-4) scored just 1:20 into the game on a goal by Rebecca Julian
(South Windsor, Conn.). The Mules took a 2-0 lead when Crocker scored the
first of three goals on the power play by Colby at 11:07.
Hamilton (4-8) made it 2-1 after two periods when Julie Haney (Ludlow,
Mass.) scored at 10:32 of the second period.
Crocker got another power play goal at 6:50 of the third period to give
Colby some breathing room. Laura Clemson (Anchorage, Alaska) added another
power play goal at 16:55 to close out the scoring. Marissa Mullane
(Wallingford, Conn.) had two assists for the Mules.
Colby will play host to Trinity College at 3 p.m. Saturday, while
Hamilton plays at Bowdoin at the same time Saturday.
