Colby women's hockey blasts Southern Maine

WATERVILLE, Maine – Colby College’s first-year players continued to shine with all seven goals in leading the Mules to a 7-0 victory over University of Southern Maine in women’s hockey on Tuesday night at Alfond Rink.

Laura Anning (Ingramport, Nova Scotia) had two goals and two assists to lead Colby (2-1). Amanda Comeau (Southbury, Conn.) added one goal and three assists, Colette Finley (St. Paul, Minn.) had two goals, Heather Nickerson (Falmouth, Mass.) had one goal and one assist, and Rebecca Julian (South Windsor, Conn.) had one goal. Nicole Crocker (Dover, Mass.), another first-year player, had two assists.

Genevieve Triganne (Point-Claire, Quebec) and first-year goalie Lacey Brown (Freeport, Maine) combined for 14 saves for the shutouts. Jen Arno (Westford, Mass.) stopped 27 shots for Southern Maine (1-6).
