Colby women's lacrosse seventh in preseason national rankings
WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College women's lacrosse team will head into the 2006 spring season ranked seventh nationally by Lacrosse Magazine.
The ranking is the highest in school history after the Mules got as high as eight in last year's national poll before finishing the year ranked 11th in Division III. Colby went 11-5 last year, with all five losses coming against teams ranked in the top 10.
Colby will open up against three of the top six schools (Middlebury, Colorado College, Williams) in the national poll among the Mules' first four games. Colby takes on second-ranked Middlebury in the season opener at home on Saturday, March 11.
