Williamson scores 30th career goal as Mules tie Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, Vt.- Colby College's Laura Williamson scored her 30th collegiate goal as the Mules went on the road and came away with a 2-2 tie with Middlebury College on Saturday.

Williamson has 30 goals and 10 assists for 70 career points. She moved into second on Colby's all-time goal scoring list ahead of Kim Waldron '99, who had 29 goals. Williamson has six goals and two assists for 14 points this season.

The Mules took the lead 18:47 into the first half after a feed from Meredith Blascovich was headed in by Williamson from five yards out.

The Panthers were unable to get on the board until 77:57 of the second half when Kim Walker headed in a corner kick from Ainsley Close.

Both teams had some chances to score, with Middlebury holding a 16-13 shots advantage on the afternoon.

Adele Plunkett finished the day with five saves for Middlebury, while Liza Benson saved four in goal for Colby (4-1-1).
