Colby, Amherst play to 0-0 tie in women's soccer
WATERVILLE, Maine --- In a game played in a driving rain and a rough field,
Colby College and Amherst College battled to a 0-0 overtime tie in New
England Small College Athletic Conference women's soccer Saturday.
Besides playing in the rain, the women's game was played after the Colby
and Amherst men had tore up the field during the earlier contest.
Liza Benson (Orchid, Fla.) was credited with 14 saves for Colby (5-2-3,
2-2-3 NESCAC), while Amherst goalkeeper Piper Crowell (Rafael, Calif.) made
12 stops.
