Colby women's squash has 4-0 weekend at Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. --- Emilie Slack (Villanova, Pa.), Nina Delano (Greenwich, Conn.), Jessica Vogel (West Hartford, Conn.) and Catherine Monrad (New Canaan, Conn.) all had 4-0 records for the Colby College women's squash team in leading the Mules to a 4-0 record at Yale University this past weekend.

Colby (4-3), ranked 18th nationally, took victories over 15th-ranked Connecticut College (8-1), 17th-ranked Stanford University (5-4), 20th-ranked Hamilton College (7-2) and 28th-ranked George Washington University (9-0). The Mules had dropped 5-4 matches to Stanford and Conn College earlier this season.

Slack won her four matches at the second position, dropping just one game. Delano played the third spot, Vogel was at four and Monrad played the sixth position.

Stacy Petro (Philadelphia, Pa.) went 3-1 at the first position and Sophia Newbury (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had the same record at the fifth spot. Beth Cole was 2-1 at the eighth spot and Kate Dziedzic (Deerfield, Ill.) was 2-2 at seven.

The Colby women will play at Bowdoin College on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
