Women's squash has 6-1 weekend

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. --- Emilie Slack and Nina Delano both went 7-0 at the second and third spots to lead the Colby College women's squash team to a 6-1 record during weekend matches at different sites in the Amherst area.

Slack, playing the second position, and third position player Delano helped Colby to wins over Middlebury (6-3), Mount Holyoke (8-1), William Smith (8-1), Wellesley (9-0), Smith (9-0) and Franklin & Marshall (5-4). The Mules fell 5-4 to Amherst.

Beth Cole was 6-0 at the eighth spot for the Mules (10-6). Jessica Vogel, Sophie Newbury and Catherine Monrad all had 5-2 records, while Kate Dziedzic was 4-3. Stacy Petro won three matches at the tough first position, Lindsay Snyder had a 5-1 record playing the eighth and ninth spots, and Kathryn Tom went 2-0.
