Peet leads golf team at state meet; UMF results
Colby College golfer Jack Peet had a two-day total of 166 to lead the Mules
at the Maine State Golf Tournament on Friday and Saturday at Natanis.
Peet had scores of 84 and 82 for his 166 total. Sam Rouleau had a 181 (91, 90), John
Wagner added a 192 (94, 98), Matt Wahl carded a 196 (96, 98) and Andrew
Herchek had a 197 (103, 94).
Colby finished tenth out of thirteen teams at the tournament with a total score of 731.
Husson had four players selected to the All-Maine team and won the event (614). Husson was followed by Bowdoin (622), St. Joseph's (626) and Southern Maine (660).
St. Joseph's Chris Deroche led all players with a 149 two-day score and was also named an All-Maine selection.
The Mules then got a 91 from Rouleau at the University of Maine at
Farmington Invitational at Belgrade Country Club on Sunday. Colby took
eighth out of eight teams in the tourney. Herchek and Greg Zartarian both
had a 95, Wagner had a 104 and Wahl finished with a 110.
Colby will host the Sid Farr Invitational this Saturday at noon at
Waterville Country Club. The Mules then come back the following day to
Waterville Country Club for the Colby Classic at noon.
