Colby golf team takes third at Colby Classic

WATERVILLE, Maine --- The Colby College golf team finished in third place out of four teams at the Colby Classic tournament on Sunday at the Waterville Country Club.

Thomas won the meet with a score of 226 and were followed by Bates (231), Colby (237) and Maine Maritime Academy (249).

The event was best ball for holes 1 to 6, scramble for holes 7 to 12 and alternate for 13 to 18.

All three of Colby's two-man teams had scores of 79. Jack Peet and Greg Zartarian, Andrew Hercheck and John Wagner, and Connor Tubridy and Sam Rouleau all had the same scores.
