Highlights: USM jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second on a two run home run by Greg Stacy to left field. Brian Marshall then added a two run shot of his own to the same spot in left in the third inning to give USM a 4-0 lead. The Huskies would put up three more runs in the third and fourth courtesy of a John Melanson single and and Greg Stacy double. Jon Lord '02smashed a homerun to straight away center field to break into the scoring column for Colby in the fourth, and the Mules would picked up two in the fifth on a Kevin Brunelle '03single and Vincent Domestico '04fielder's choice. Eric Roy '04 also powered a solo shot to straight away center for the Mules. USM picked up some important insurance runs in the seventh on a Andy Lang RBI single and Tyler Delorme sacrifice fly. The Mules had a late rally in the eighth and ninth, scoring on a Joseph Johnson '03 RBI single to start things in the eighth. In the ninth, Vincent Domestico had an RBI double and Lord an RBI single, but the Huskies held on for the victory.
