Tom Dexter, Head Coach
Tom Dexter enters his 13th season as head coach of the Colby baseball program in 2003-04. He is a 1987 graduate of SUNY-Cortland, where he also earned a master’s degree in coaching and physical education. Assisting Dexter for a 13th year as infield coach is Chappy Nelson, a 1982 graduate of Colby. Dexter is also the defensive coordinator for the Colby football team. He came to Colby in 1989 after serving as assistant football coach at Cornell. A native of Albany, N.Y., Dexter and his wife, Sarah, reside in Oakland, Maine, with their daughters, Hannah and Lydia, and their sons, Sam and Jacob.

Assisting Dexter for a 13th year as third base and infield coach is Chappy Nelson, a 1982 graduate of Colby.
