WILLIAM'S HANGS ON TO DOWN COLBY 67-58 Williamstown, MA The Williams Ephs dominated their NESCAC opponents in the first half tonight, and held on to defeat the White Mules of Colby 67-58. The win was Williams first in three NESCAC contests, and ended a two-game slide. The Ephs came out red hot on both ends. With ten minutes remaining in the first half, the Ephs had held the Mules to only 6 points, and at the break held a 38-14 edge. Tim Folan led the way for Williams, hitting 5 of 8 shots, including 3 of 4 from beyond the three-point arc, to net 13 points. He finished with 18, five rebounds and three assists. Colby was not finished, however. In the second half they came roaring back, cutting the Williams lead to less than 10 with two minutes to play. Jake Civiello led the way, hitting several key three-pointers for Colby. The Ephs hung on through some clutch free throws, recovering from a dry spell at the line earlier, and finished with a win. Folan led the all scorers, and Mike Crotty chipped in 10 for Williams. Crotty also had 5 assists. Andrew Conley and Drew DeMuth each had 8 rebounds, and scored 6 and 7 points, respectively.
