Colby's Clark sinks Husson Men's Basketball Bangor, Maine The Colby men's basketball team opened the 2000-01 season with a win over Husson 81-75 in the State of Maine Tipoff Tournament at Husson College. Sam Clark (01, Woolwich, ME) led Colby with 20 pts. The game featured eight lead changes and six ties, but in the end it was the White Mules who reeled off a 6-0 run to blow open a two-point game and seal the victory. Husson got seven 3-pointers and 25 points from Robert Pilsbury and received 12 more points from senior Matt Breen. In the first half, the White Mules and Braves put on an offensive exhibition, combining for 12 three pointers and 86 points. Colby received strong performances from Jon Moro (03, Rockport, ME) 12 points, Zeb Davis (01, Skowhegan, ME) 13 points and Damien Strahorn (02, Menlo Park, CA) 14 points. Colby will face the University of Southern Maine at 8 pm Saturday in the tourney's championship game. St. Joseph's and Husson will play in the 6pm consolation game.
