Colby Invitational, Hamilton tops UMPI 87-52

Waterville,ME.

The UMPI men's basketball team hung tough with a talented Hamilton team for a half, but Hamilton turned up the heat and out scored the Owls 49-25 in the second half and rolled to an 87-52 victory in the opening game of the Colby Invitational tournament. Hamilton was led by Noah Hammond with 11 pts., and the Continentals placed 14 players in the scoring colum. Antrone Moore led the way for the Owls with 19 pts and hauled down 10 rebounds, Chad Graham chipped in with 11 pts. Hamilton advances to the Championship game Saturday and will play the winner of the Colby vs Notre Dame game, UMPI will play in the Consolation game at 1:00pm.
