2002-2003 Season Recap
Facing its most arduous schedule in recent history, which included eight teams that would go on to post-season play, the Colby men's basketball team had many ups and downs in 2002-03. With 13 first-year and sophomore players the learning process was extensive and team results didn't reach traditional standards. The 6-16 final record included some gallant efforts and some disappointing performances, but hopefully the season will lay a strong foundation for future success. Despite the down times, the highlight of the season was the outright CBB (Colby-Bates-Bowdoin) championship, captured in two exciting road victories at Bates and Bowdoin. Lone senior Kevin Crosman '03 led the Mules in rebounding and sophomore Pat McGowan '05 led Colby in scoring for the season. With a large returning cast, expectations will be higher for 2003-04.
