IMPORTANT FACTS

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS
There is a full game schedule including play-offs. Team drill instruction in offense, defense transition, and rebounding is done through our unique development series, which has been a tremendous success. Lectures on team areas and practice sessions on specific areas with assistance from staff coaches complete the offering. The individual learning opportunities also are taken care of in the program development.

  • Power Pivot System
  • Mulitple Passing Skills
  • Full Court Press System
  • Daily Shooting Instruction
  • Multiple Ball Handling Sessions

    MOTIVATIONAL SERIES
In each session of the clinic, specific motivational discussions, in small groups with question and answer periods, are mandatory. These time periods are devoted to peripheral areas, such as the reasons that young people play and ways they can better themselves and prepare for the future. Many different coaches are asked to take part in this exciting aspect of our program.

    COMPETITION
The key to success and development is to compete at a level that will promote improvement. With players from 13 states and three provinces in Canada, the breadth of talent is extensive and the competition is at a high level. However, the DIVISIONAL setup in different age groups allows for EVERY PLAYER to have the opportunity to become thoroughly involved at the level of play that each has attained. Significant awards are given for improvement, DESIRE, and achievement.

    TRADITION
In our 33 years, many of the finest players in Maine, New England, and the East have sharpened their skills at the Pine Tree Basketball Camp. More than 60 of our players have received basketball scholarships. One of our former campers was on the powerful 1992 U.S. Olympic team after being a first-team All-American in 1984. Beyond this, we have had the finest coaches capable of teaching and helping players at all levels to improve their game. The atmosphere is always one of enjoyment and high intensity. There is no finer location for a basketball clinic.
