With 4:25 left in the second half, Colby had the lead 44-38 thanks to two Alyssa Henley free throws. Then, with 2:02 left Sarah Walsh's grabbed an imprtant offensive rebound and after being fouled hit her foul shots to put Colby up 45-41. With 25.8 Colby extended it's lead to four points on two free throws from Cara Dionisi. Davis & Elkins cut the lead to one with a three pointer with only 16.1 seconds left. However, it took some key free throws in the end by Bianca Belcher and Christine O'Donnell to seal the victory for Colby over the Division II school. With the win, it put Colby into the championship game based on the total point spread during the tournament. Leading Colby in this game was Kate Chuprevich with 14 points and 9 rebounds, Sarah Walsh with 8 rebounds and 6 steals, and Bianca Belcher with 7 points.
