Directions to the Bates College Boathouse from Route 95 :
I-95 North/South to I-495 (Maine Turnpike); I-495 North/South to Exit 13 (Lewiston); go right at end of ramp onto Plourde Parkway; continue on Plourde to stoplight at intersection of Plourde and Pleasant. Go STRAIGHT across intersection and continue 0.6 miles to stoplight at Webster Street, turn LEFT onto Webster and travel 1 mile to stoplight at Farwell Street. Turn RIGHT onto Farwell and follow 0.6 miles to stoplight; go STRAIGHT across intersection onto Russell Street and travel 1.2 miles to 4th stoplight at Main Street (Rt. 202). Turn RIGHT on Main Street (Rt. 202) and travel 5.3 miles to West Main Street on left (note: road is just after a cemetery that spans Rt. 202 and a small white church on left). Turn LEFT on West Main Street to an immediate left on Meadow Hill Road. Turn LEFT on Meadow Hill Road and travel 2 miles to boathouse entry on left (note: the boathouse entry is at the top of a rise just after a sweeping right turn by a farm on Meadow Hill Road).
