The Colby College crews earned the Presidents Cup championship for the third straight year by having the overall best finish in all races during competition with Bates and Bowdoin in Lewiston on Sunday.

The Colby women's varsity eight won by nearly two seconds with a time of 7 minutes, 11.6 seconds. Bates was second in 7:13.5 and Bowdoin took third at 7:27.1.

In other women's racing, Colby was first in the novice eight race in 7:48.4 and the novice four in 8:11.4. The Mules were second to Bowdoin in the varsity four in a time of 8:17.3 compared to the Polar Bears' 8:11.3. In a second varsity eight race, Bates (7:30.4) held off Colby (7:36.3).

The Colby men's varsity eight had a time of 6:17.8 to lose a tight race to Bates (6:16.7). In the varsity four race, two Bowdoin teams battled for the top two spots and Colby took third in 7:23.8.

The Mules dominated the novice racing, winning the eight in 7:00.1 and taking the four in 7:22.2. Colby will row at the University of New Hampshire this Saturday.
