On Sunday, September 24, the Colby College men's golf team hosted the 2000 Sid Farr Golf Invitational at Waterville Country Club. The team champion of the tournament was Husson College (49 points), followed by Colby (34) in second, Bowdoin College (31) in third, the University of Southern Maine (24) in fourth, while Thomas College (18) finished in fifth place.

Colby was led by freshman Greg Dupuy who shot a 76 for 18 holes and finished fourth overall in the individual standings. Dupuy's score on Sunday was also his career best. Teammates Scott Bixby (01) finished with a round of 81 (10th overall), Matt Simard (02) shot an 82 (11th overall), Andre Picher (01) also shot an 82, and junior Justin Ucko finished 16th in the individual standings with an 83.

Husson College showed great skill as a team as all five team members shot an 80 or better. The individual champion of the tournament was Kevin Kendell of Bowdoin College, who shot a 73.

Colby returns to the green on Saturday, September 30, as they travel to Middlebury for the two-day New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championships.
