Coming off a strong finish in 2000, the Colby White Mule Co-ed Golf
team looks to pick up where they left off, and put together another solid
season in 2001.
Led by seniors Matt Simard '02(Edward Little High School;Auburn,
ME) and Justin Ucko '02(Millbourne High School;Short Hills, NJ), the White
Mules look to start the season with a victory, as they open at the Bowdoin
Invitational. The team will look to set the tone for the season, as this
tournament draws some of the top golfers in the state.
Coming home to the picturesque Waterville Country Club, for the Sid
Farr Invitational is one of the high points of the season, as this popular
tournament draws some of the best golfing competition in New England. It is there the team always puts in a top performance, and they will hope to
continue this tradition once again.
The NESCAC Championship and the Colby Classic are two of the other
highlights on a very busy and competitive schedule. With a solid nucleus of
returning players including Justin Ossolinski '03(Sumner High
School;Gouldsboro, Maine) and Greg Dupuy '04(Northern Highland High
School;Allendale, N.J.) and some first year players who will undoubtedly make
an immediate impact, the Colby White Mules will be a serious threat at
every tournament in 2001.
