WATERVILLE, Maine -- Just four days after winning the Maine State Tournament, the Colby College Golf team continued its incredible play with a first place finish at the Sid Farr Invitational in Waterville on Tuesday. The White Mules scored 25 points using a modified scoring system in which the team earns two points for birdie, one point for par, zero for bogey, and minus one for double bogey.

Colby was again led by first-year Ben Powell (Damriscotta, Maine), who finished first overall with a round of 77, the fourth time in five rounds this year that he has come in under 80. Sophomore Scott Bixby (La Jolla, Calif.) also performed well, shooting a 79 to claim second place overall.
