WATERVILLE, Maine -- The St. Lawrence University women's ice hockey team got three goals from first-year Trisha Powers (Spencerville, Ontario) and two goals and two assists from sophomore Caroline Trudeau (Pointe Claire, Quebec) as the Saints defeated Colby College by a score of 9-1. St. Lawrence improves to 6-9-0 on the season, while the White Mules fall to 0-9-0.Colby's only goal came 33 seconds into the third period, when first-year Carrie Swiderski (Watertown, Conn./Taft School) scored the first goal of her collegiate career, beating Saints goalie Caryn Ungewitter (Rochester Hills, Mich.). Ungewitter finished the game with eight saves, while sophomore Josephine Chapman (Bristol, R.I./Moses Brown) made 64 stops in net for the White Mules.
