Head Coach: Rob Quinn
Quinn arrives at Colby after seven years as the men's lacrosse coach at New England College where he also was assistant athletic director. Other stops in his coaching career include: head coach at the University of Hartford from 1990-92 and head assistant coach at Roanoke College from 1992-94. While at New England College Quinn turned a struggling program into a National Tournament participant. During that time he compiled an 80-25 record and won two Coach of the Year awards and three conference titles. Very active in the lacrosse community, Quinn has served on the Division III All-America selection committee and the Division III National Tournament Advisory committee.
Quinn earned his bachelor of arts degree from Westfield State College. While at Westfield State, he was named a two-time All-New England midfielder and earned All-America honors his senior year. He also played semi-pro lacrosse in Australia. Quinn was married this past summer and he and his wife, Sonya, reside in Waterville.
Assistant Coach: Danilo Arcenas (RIT '93)
Danilo Arcenas begins his second year as the assistant women's hockey coach and first year as men's assistant lacrosse coach at Colby. Dan has coached hockey for 17 years and most recently came over from NESCAC opponent Wesleyan University. As the assistant coach at Wesleyan, Dan helped guide the women's hockey team to become a 1998 ECAC Division III finalist, 1997 ECAC Division III semifinalist, 1999 ECAC Division III quarterfinalist, 1999 ECAC South Division champion and three-time "Little Three" champions. During his final year at Wesleyan, Dan was also the assistant men's lacrosse coach, which was a 2000 ECAC Division III finalist. In addition to hockey, Dan has served as assistant coach to the Colby's women's lacrosse team, which was a 2001 Division III NESCAC semifinalist and a 2001 Division III ECAC semifinalist.
